2016 Teutopolis High School graduate Anna Hartke has been named the recipient of the $895 Delbert and Maradryl Facklam Scholarship. Hartke will use the scholarship to pursue an education in the field of animal science at the University of Missouri. Her goal is to attend veterinary school and return to Effingham County to open a practice and work with local farmers and their livestock.
The Facklam Scholarship was established by Delbert Facklam to honor the memory of the Teutopolis High School class and Faculty of 1939. The Scholarship seeks to perpetuate higher learning opportunities for Teutopolis High School Graduates. Facklam grew up in Stewardson and attended St. Michael’s School in Sigel until his senior year at Teutopolis High School.
