New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees isn’t holding back in his criticism of commissioner Roger Goodell’s authority. He tells SI.com that Goodell is judge, jury and executioner when it comes to league discipline and has been a black eye for the NFL. Brees says Goodell definitely has too much power and he wouldn’t trust any league-led investigation about anything because it’s not transparent. His comments came when asked for his reaction to the Tom Brady’s reinstated “deflategate” suspension. Brees has been critical of Goodell’s authority ever since the Saints’ “bountygate” case in 2012.
