Effingham’s softball team improved to 10-4 on the season with a 14-2 win over Altamont. Hope Collier picked up the win, giving up two runs in five innings. She allowed just three hits and struck out five. Skyler Schafer had a three hit game for Effingham with an RBI and a run. Aly Armstrong, Jenna Wright, Carsyn Fearday, and Kaylee Tonn had two RBIs each. Effingham is back in action today when they host a double header against Mt. Zion.
Altamont’s loss to Effingham was their second game of the day. The Indians previously beat Neoga 7-2
