The Effingham County Democratic and Republican parties elected officers earlier this week. On the democratic side, officers will remain the same with all four incumbents remaining in their positions. The officers are Dan Niebrugge as chairman, Allen Wente as vice-chairman, Jeremy Patnaude as second vice-chair, and Linda Lewis as secretary.

On the republican side, Rob Arnold was elected as the party’s new chairman. He replaces Steve Donaldson, who stepped down from the position after 14 years. Donaldson (seen above) was presented with a plaque thanking him for his service.
Other republican officers elected were John Perry as vice-chairman, Ed Hoopingarner and Susan Petty as vice-chairs, Jane Willenborg as secretary, and John Niemerg as treasurer.
Officer terms are for two years.
