Ameren Illinois President Richard Mark announced today that the company has donated $40,000 to the Embarras River Basin Agency to help customers with their energy bills. Grants of up to $500 will be available to local residents who meet income-eligibility guidelines.
“Many customers, particularly those in lower-income areas, are seeking relief to pay their energy bills,” Mark said. “Ameren Illinois is committed to serving the community and that’s why we’re partnering with local social service agencies to provide relief to those who need it the most.”
Embarras River Basin Agency will use this grant to help households who are between 0 percent and 150 percent of the 2015 Federal Poverty Guidelines.
