The Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office currently are investigating multiple cases of illegal deer poaching. The most recent incident involved two people being arrested for the killing of at least 8 deer. The suspects allegedly shot the deer with rifles while in their vehicles and then left the carcasses in the fields. Several other investigations regarding unrelated similar activities are also being investigated in Clark County.
