Eastern Illinois University Vice President and Provost Blair Lord has received a vote of “no confidence” from the school’s faculty. 349 members of the school’s faculty voted, with 67.6% voting that they did not feel confident in Lord’s job performance. Only 57% of eligible EIU faculty participated in the vote.
Concerns about transparency and decision making are the cause for the vote. Over 100 faculty members signed a petition calling for the vote.
The results of the vote have be given to the EIU President David Glassman to review.
