An Oklahoma man was killed Thursday morning in a single vehicle accident on Interstate-70 near Vandalia. The crash occurred at approximately 9:00am in the eastbound lane on I70 at milepost 63.
66-year-old Stanley Hamilton of Antlers, Oklahoma was exiting the interstate when his freightliner truck and trailer crossed the yellow fog line and entered the left ditch. Police say that his his trailer jack-knifed and broke loose from the vehicle. Hamilton’s vehicle continued skidding out of control and overturned.
Hamilton was transported to the Fayette County Hospital, but he was fatally injured in the crash.
