An Oklahoma was airlifted from the scene of an accident Sunday on Route 33. The crash occurred at 1:10am about a quarter of a mile west of Nazarene Road, in an area northwest of Effingham. Police say that 27-year-old Tim Wagner III was traveling westbound when his vehicle crossed the east bound lanes. His vehicle then left the roadway, going into a ditch and hitting a culvert before overturning. Wagner was ejected from his vehicle during the accident. He was air lifted to Carle Hospital.
He was ticketed for Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Wear a Seat Belt, and Failure to Reduce Speed Causing an Accident.
