The Effingham County Board approved the renewal of an agreement with SIMEC Electrical at their monthly meeting. The agreement was for the aggregation of energy services in the county. This will last through February of 2019, and will include the securing of bids for the County’s electrical costs.
The Board also approved a number of appointments. Charles Siler, Dan Niemerg, and Chris Balda were appointed to the Board of Health. Their terms will last until August 31, 2017. Duane Kremer was appointed to the Teutopolis Fire Protection District, a term that will run through May of 2018. Jonathon Paholke was appointed to serve on the Ambulance Oversight Committee through the end of August 2017. The final appointment was of Logan Mellendorf to the Lucas Township Drainage District. This term will last through August of 2017.
Another item of note from Monday’s meeting, Board member Rob Arnold announced that department heads should begin submitting budget information for the next fiscal year.
