CASEY, IL-(Effingham Radio)- A Casey man is in custody on four counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse following allegations from underage females that they had been sexually abused.
According to a recent press release posted to their Facebook page, the Casey Police Department had recently received information that underage females were reporting that they had been sexually abused.
The Police Department then began an investigation and interviews of the victims was conducted at The Children’s Advocacy Center in Charleston.
Three of the alleged incidents had occurred in August of 2016 and one occurred on August of 2017.
The investigation was concluded on May 1st with the arrest of 60 year old, Gary S Finney Sr, of Casey.
Finney appeared in Clark County Court on May 3rd for a Bond hearing.
During the hearing, Finney advised the courts that he will hire private counsel and a preliminary hearing was set for May 21st.
Finney’s bond was set for $300,000 with the conditions of electronic home monitoring and no contact with anyone under the age of 18.
The Casey Police Department was assisted in the arrest and investigation by the Department of Children and Family Services, the Illinois State Police Zone 7 Investigations, and the Clark County State’s Attorney’s Office.
All persons listed are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
