GREENDALE, IL-(Effingham Radio)- An Iuka man was arrested recently in connection with a burglary that occurred at the Greendale, Xenia Township ADM Elevator.
According to details released by the Clay County Sheriff’s Department, the Department was called to a possible burglary at the elevator on April 25th.
Upon arrival by the Clay County Sheriff’s Deputies, officers discovered that an unknown person had forced entry to a building and had stolen several tools.
From a joint investigation by the Clay County Sheriff’s Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was issued and served on a rural Marion County residence where stolen items were recovered.
27 year old, Zachary N Goff, of Iuka was arrested and charged with Burglary on April 26th.
He appeared in Clay County Circuit Court the next day and bond was set in the amount of $50,000.
Goff is currently on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections and at this time there has been no issuance of a parole warrant.
Both Sheriff’s Departments were assisted by the Marion County and Clay County State’s Attorneys.
All persons listed are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
