EFFINGHAM, IL-(Effingham Radio)- A Dieterich Investment Center employee ran in the recent Boston Marathon and raised over $1,000 for the Andrew Gobczynski Big Heart Foundation.
According to a recent Facebook Post by Dieterich Bank, “Bank employees and local citizens raised money for AGBHF as they cheered on Chad Sutton of Dieterich Investment Centers as he ran the Boston Marathon.”
Sutton ran the marathon in 2 hours, 47 minutes, and 53 seconds and finished 429 out of 32,500 runners on Monday.
Dieterich Bank used the time to determine a percentage of the funds raised to match as a donation.
In total, $1,402 was raised for the Foundation.
The Andrew Gobczynski Big Heart Foundation has implemented a heart testing program for student athletes at Teutopolis, Effingham, and St. Anthony High Schools.
The Foundation recently partnered with HSHS St Anthony’s Memorial Hospital and Prairie Heart to invest in mobile equipment that will be able to screen adults 50 years old and older.
