BROWNSTOWN, IL -(EFFINGHAM RADIO)- The Brownstown CUSD #201 Board of Education is set to meet on Monday, April 16th.
During the meeting, the Board will consider the Consent Agenda.
The Consent Agenda includes four motions.
These are a motion to approve the minutes from the March 19th meeting, a motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report, a motion to approve the bills, and a motion to approve payment of the annual membership dues for the Illinois Elementary School Association.
The Board will then hear reports from the Elementary School Principal, Jr/Sr High School Principal, and Superintendent before going into a closed session.
While in closed session, the Board will discuss and take possible action on “The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity and Collective negotiating matters between the District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees.”
The Board will also discuss and take possible action on nine items of new business.
These are the review of the summer maintenance projects, employment of summer help, the first reading of Board Policy updates, the trade/purchase of a new lawn mower, the amended 2017-2018 budget, the appointment of the Board Negotiating Team, employing certified staff for 2018-2019, approve a contractually employed speech language pathologist for 2018-2019, and the dates for a Board Self-Assessment with IASB.
The Brownstown Board of Education will meet at 7:00pm.
