The Effingham Board of Education is set to hold a special board of education meeting on Wednesday, March 7th at 5:30pm.
During the meeting, the Board will hold a discussion and presentation with Effingham Police Chief Fuesting regarding the school resource officer program. The Board will then go into closed executive session. While in executive session the Board will discuss “The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or legal counsel for the District. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1), Collective negotiating matters between the District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2), and Student disciplinary cases. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(9).” The Board will then return to open session and take action on releasing the closed session minutes.
