(Springfield, IL) — Illinois’ tornado season is typically months away, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get ready now. The Illinois Emergency Management Agency yesterday put out its annual warning about severe weather preparedness. IEMA says in addition to a plan, every family should have a supply of food, water, medicine, and some emergency supplies. IEMA is also suggesting a weather alert radio to help track storms that may hit the state this spring.
