(Springfield, IL) — Illinois’ governor will get to move home this summer. Governor Rauner’s office yesterday said that work on the executive mansion in Springfield should wrap-up by July. First lady Diana Rauner yesterday said the mansion will reopen to the public July 14th. Crews have been working on the mansion since last April, and will spend millions of dollars by the time they are done to renovate the home and create a more historic feel for the house just south of the State Capitol.
