The Altamont Indians were victorious 58-55 over St.Elmo/Brownstown to win the class 1A Hutsonville Regional.The Indians lead 20-10 after 1 quarter thanks to 6 points by Kaleb Whitt. SEB closed the gap to make it 28-26 at halftime then took the lead 37-35 after 3 quarters. Altamont made the plays they needed to in the 4th. Noah Teasley made some good hustle plays and a tip in during the final quarter with Whitt on bench dealing with a lower body injury. Mitchell Stevenson sank some clutch free throws down the stretch for the Indians and Lewis Brown’s three point shot at the buzzer was no good to give Altamont the 58-55 victory. Altamont wins back-to-back regional titles and will advance to the Moweaqua Central A & M sectional to face Nokomis who won their own regional by defeating Neoga 55-40.
