Two individuals were injured in an accident that occurred in Clark County early on Saturday.
According to a report from the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred on I-70 eastbound at mile post 147 in Clark County at 12:51am on Saturday. The report stated that a semi being driven by 31 year old, Karanjit Singh, of Madera, California was traveling eastbound on I-70 when he lost control of the vehicle, causing him to overcorrect the semi. Singh then swerved off of the roadway to the right, struck a guardrail, and overturned. The semi came to a rest on the south side of the roadway.
Singh and his passenger, 21 year old, Tajinder Singh, of Madera California sustained injuries and were taken to Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. Singh was cited for improper lane usage.
