Effingham, Il (Via Todd Stapleton; Vandalia, Il) – Fayette County Sheriff Chris Smith reports two individuals are now in custody in connect with an incident early this morning southwest of Ramsey.
The incident involved an alleged robbery and two individuals–described as two white males, aged 40 to early 50’s, dressed in camouflage and armed with a handgun–allegedly running from the incident in the wooded areas southwest of Ramsey.
Law enforcement spent the next several hours searching for the individuals.
Sheriff Smith reported just before noon today that two individuals are now in custody.

UPDATE: The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office released the names of the two suspects after they were arrested.
James D. Longwell, and William J. Nordyke were both arrested earlier today, and are now facing burglary charges.
