Three people were injured in an accident that occurred on Jasper County Road 300N.
According to a report from the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred at 9:17pm on Thursday. A vehicle being driven by a 16 year old female from Marshall. It was traveling eastbound on CR 300N, just east of CR 1000E. The driver was traveling too fast and lost control of the vehicle. It then left the road to the North and struck a ditch. The vehicle then traveled back onto the road, where it came to a rest. The driver and her two passengers, 25 year old, Dustin Rash, of West Union, and 31 year old, Matthew Matlock, of West Liberty were taken to Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney for treatment.
The juvenile was cited for driving too fast for conditions and violating the one passenger limit. Matlock and Rash were cited for failure to wear seatbelts.
