Thomas “Tom” Edward Dunn, 69, of Windsor, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Sullivan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Sullivan.
Tom was born March 10, 1948, in Shelbyville, the son of Joseph and Juanita Doris (Hartsell) Dunn. He was a 1966 graduate of Windsor High School and a 1970 graduate of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He owned and operated Dunn’s Pump and Well Service for over 30 years. He was known as the Tate’s Farm Equipment Softball Team Announcer and was known to be seen at an auction every now and then. He was a member of Ash Grove Christian Church and the Strasburg Lions Club.
On July 20, 1969, he and Jean Ann Wittenberg were united in marriage and together they had three children. He later married Carolyn Ann Graber on June 5, 1999, and together they had a daughter. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Ann of Windsor; son, Ed (Tonya) Dunn of St. Joseph; daughters: Laura (John) Roessler of Columbia, Karyn Dunn of Mattoon and J.J. Dunn of Windsor; seven grandchildren: Stephen, Ella, Jazmyn, Olivia, Jack, Quincey and Raina; sister, Dorothy (Norbert) Leach of Mt. Clemens, MI and brother, James (Brenda) Dunn of Stilwell, KS.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 10, 2017, at Ash Grove Christian Church with Reverend Patrick Powers and Reverend Jim Dona officiating. Burial will be at Ash Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his name for the Ash Grove Christian Church.
