Teutopolis, Ill – Teutopolis Unit 50 held their board of Education Meeting this past Monday Night.
During the meeting, multiple issues on the agenda were addressed by the board.
In the midst of the meeting, the board approved a purchase that exceeded their spending limit.
According to the released minutes, “approved a technology purchase that exceeds the $15,000 policy limit to Provision Data Solution”.
The minutes did add that 50% of the funds spent will be reimbursed with e-rate funds.
The Superintendent of unit 50 was contacted regarding the details of this purchase, he stated that the purchase was of wireless access points. The access points are meant to help with speed of the internal servers accessed by students.
In addition to the purchase, Bill Fritcher was appointed by the board as the new Information Act Officer. It is part of the routine done by the board to comply with the freedom of information act.
