Effingham not only got their 6th win of the season but also a share of the Apollo with a 28-0 win against Charleston. Terrence Hill got Effingham on the board first with a 43 yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Hill added another touchdown and 164 yards on 22 carries in the first half. Effingham also got the passing game going in the second quarter with a 20 yard touchdown from Nathan Shackelford to Paul Smith and a 51 yard touchdown from Landon Wolfe to Jordan McCabe. In the third quarter Wolfe connected with McCabe again for a 27 yard touchdown. Effingham will be back at home to take on 2-5 Mattoon.
