The death of a 56 year old rural Brownstown man is being investigated as a homicide. That’s according to Fayette County Coroner Bruce Bowen. Fayette County Coroner Bruce Bowen says that in regards to the death of 56 year old James Skinner of rural Brownstown, Bowen says his office and the Illinois State police are investigating Skinner’s death as a homicide. Bowen goes on to say in his statement that further information will be released as it becomes available. Bowen stated on Tuesday the suspicious death occurred in rural Brownstown on Sunday evening. And, Bowen says he pronounced Skinner dead at his resident at 5:24 pm on Sunday evening. An autopsy was conducted on Monday.
