An event is being held today at Legacy Harley Davidson in Effingham for Helping Heroes.
Helping Heroes is an organization that provides extra support to those that are serving in the Armed Forces. We recently spoke with Courtney Hanna with Helping Heroes. Hanna stated that the organization meets annually and creates Christmas packages for those serving that are deployed. She also stated that the organization is helping those that are serving or have served in our country’s military in many other ways.
Today at Legacy Harley Davidson, Helping Heroes will hold a car show, raffles, and much more. According to Hanna, the car show will be held from 9:00am to 12:00pm. The cost to participate in the car show is $15, and the first 100 entrants will receive a dash plaque and goody bag. Beginning at 11:00am, food vendors will be available. At Noon, a ceremony will be held to honor veterans, followed by yard games, face painting, a petting zoo, and bounce houses. Live music will be provided by Soul Riot and Sideways Rain at 5:00pm.
