(Davenport, IA) — Illinois’ drought is not as bad as some of our neighbors, but it’s not good either. Forecasters yesterday said almost all of Illinois is experiencing abnormally dry conditions. Some spots in central Illinois and near St. Louis are worse. Forecasters say it’s been weeks since Illinois has had a good, soaking rain. Ninety percent of the state is now suffering from some sort of drought. Without rain, farmers say they could lose some of their corn or bean crops.
