(Springfield, IL) — The top man at the Illinois State Fair wants to get some old buildings fixed-up before next year’s fair. State Fair Manager Kevin Gordon said they were able to work around not being able to use the Coliseum on the fairgrounds this year, but he’d like to see the Coliseum reopened soon. The building is closed to people and animals because engineers say it’s unsafe. Gordon said the Coliseum is just one of a laundry list of building projects that need to be finished on the fairgrounds in Springfield.
