(Peoria, IL) — Two more Illinois Air National Guard teams, and their planes, are heading to help in the hurricane zone. Guard commanders yesterday said a pair of C-130 Hercules aircraft left Peoria. One plane will stop in Tennessee before heading to the Virgin Islands. The other plane is scheduled to go to a staging area in Maryland, to be ready once Hurricane Irma makes landfall in the U.S. Two other Peoria-based planes and the crews just got back from hurricane-related missions.
