LeAnn Marie Trueblood, 24, of Effingham, IL, died on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL, with her family by her side.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

LeAnn was born on October 28, 1992, the daughter of Terry and Ruth Ann (Freeland) Trueblood, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital in Mattoon, IL prematurely and spent 21 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care in Champaign, IL.
LeAnn attended Beecher City Schools until fourth grade and then transferred to Effingham, where she became a varsity football cheerleader. She graduated from Beecher City High School in 2011. LeAnn was baptized at the First Christian Church in 1998 in Effingham, IL by the late Rev. Lawrence Beebe. LeAnn enjoyed being a life guard, kittens, camping, music, muscle cars, and scuba diving, even chasing a shark at 10 years old. She had no fear and enjoyed being social. LeAnn was very close to her brother James Robert “J.R.” and they shared many memories and experiences together. She saved several lives with her life saving skills as a CPR instructor. LeAnn was trained at the St. Louis School of Mixology in 2014 for hospitality services. She attended Lake Land college and was a trained phlebotomist.
A daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend to many, she leaves behind her parents, Terry and Ruth Ann Trueblood and her brother James Robert “J.R.” Trueblood all of Effingham, IL; grandparents, Robert and Betty Trueblood of Effingham, IL; grandmother, Carolyn Morgan-Ray of Centralia, IL; grandfather, William Brooks of Pinckneyville, IL; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Eugene and Thelma Freeland of Newton, IL.
