Cumberland’s offense could never punch the ball in the endzone, being shut out by Decatur LSA 16-0. Cumberland played well offensively, as quarterback Gabe Hatfill was 21-30 for 244 yards, however two turnovers by the offense halted any momentum. Cumberland defensively held Decatur LSA to 170 yards of total offense, but Decatur had two drives start from inside the Red Zone due to turnovers. Cumberland’s only chance at points was at the end of the first half when Tyson Magee made a great catch on the LSA 4 yard line, however Connor Butler was stopped at the goal line to end the half.
