Three people were injured in an accident that occurred on I-57 southbound, 3 miles south of Farina on Wednesday morning.
According to a report from the Illinois State Police, 56 year old, Clara Rojas-Manjarrez, of Georgetown, Texas was traveling southbound on I-57 when she blew a tire. She swerved into the guard rail on the left side of the road. The vehicle then skidded right and bounced off of the guard rail across the southbound lanes. She then over-corrected to the left. The vehicle then skidded across the southbound lanes and overturned, coming to a rest in the median.
Clara Rojas-Manjarrez and her passengers George Cedillo, of Georgetown, Texas and an eight year old female from Waukegan were taken to Salem Community Hospital for treatment.
