(Bloomington, IL) — The state of Illinois is 882 million-dollars richer thanks to video poker. “The Bloomington Pantagraph” reported over the weekend on the five year haul from video gambling in the state. Illinois has collected 882 million-dollars, local governments have seen 176 million, and players have seen their share of the 44 billion-dollars that has been bet since the first video poker machine went online in 2012. Critics, however, say there’s now too much video gaming in the state.
