- 50 year old, Odalys Acebo, of Effingham was arrested by the Effingham Police Department on an Effingham County failure to appear warrant for possession of less than 5 grams of Methamphetamine.
- 22 year old, Madison D. Ard, of Teutopolis was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on an Effingham County failure to appear/pay warrant for theft.
- 30 year old, Daniel R. Reeves, of Effingham was arrested by the Effingham Police Department on a Jasper County failure to appear warrant for resisting an officer. Reeves posted $375.
- 24 year old, Alexander P. Embry, of Effingham was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on an Effingham County failure to appear warrant for driving while license is suspended. Embry posted $825.
- 59 year old, Hazel L. Nice, of Neoga was arrested by the Effingham Police Department for retail theft. Nice posted $150.
- 51 year old, Sylvia Helley, of Stoughton, Wisconsin was arrested by the Illinois State Police for driving while under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, and illegal transportation.
- 29 year old, Michael R. Whitaker, of Shumway was arrested by the Effingham Police Department on an Effingham County failure to appear warrant for theft control intent less than $500, possession of drug equipment, possession of a controlled substance, contraband in prison, possession of a hypodermic needle, and a Cumberland County failure to appear warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
- 62 year old, James L. Harper, of Effingham was arrested by the Effingham Police Department for domestic battery, aggravated battery, and unlawful use of a weapon.

June 14, 2017
- At 3:40am west of the intersection of National and Outer Belt West, a vehicle driven by 16 year old, Austin W. Myers, of Farina left the roadway and came to a rest in the ditch. Myers sustained injuries ans was transported to HSHS St Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for treatment. No citations were reported.
- At 2:46pm north of the intersection of Long and Jefferson, a semi driven by 60 year old, Guy R. Armstrong, of Effingham drove under a telephone wire, pulling it from the building at 808 E. Jefferson. This caused damage to the structures soffit. No injuries or citations were reported.
- At 3:50pm at 2500 N. 3rd, a semi driven by 31 year old, Corinna E. Loebe, of Muncie, Indiana struck a vehicle driven by 37 year old, Anthony J. Runde, of Effingham. No injuries or citations were reported.
- At 8:33pm at 2500 N. 3rd, a semi driven by 49 year old, Stephen J. Renaudette, of Winfield, Missouri struck a parked semi owned by Balkan Express LLC, of Fort Worth, Texas. No injuries or citations were reported.

- Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Misty Hill, 47, Clay City, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Speeding. Bond set at $1,500.00(10%), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She posted bond and was released.

- Anthony J. Henkelman, 23, Effingham, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Burglary. Bond set at $2,500.00 (10%), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.

Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Rhyver Cosner, 18, Louisville, for Petition to Revoke Probation on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond set at $15,000.00 (10%). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.

June 12, 2017
- the Clay County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 11:21 p.m. east of the intersection of Highwy 50 and Mayflower. Apparently Phillip McGrady, 49, Olney, operating a 2014 Chevrolet was sitting at the red traffic light, going east, when another eastbound vehicle, 2001 Subaru, operated by Donald Boots, 38, Olney, struck the McGrady vehicle. Boots was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid and Accident. No injuries reported.

- the Clay County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 3:43 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Hwy 45 and Kinmundy Road in Louisville. Apparently Deanna Carder, 47, Clay City, operating a 2015 GMC was stopped at the intersection waiting to make a westbound turn and was struck by a 2012 Chevrolet operated by Nancy Walker, 56, Louisville, who was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet operated by Kristopher Blankenship, 37, St. Elmo. Blankenship was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid and Accident. Walker was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham for her injuries.
