A twenty year old Herrick man is facing multiple charges in connection with a string of burglaries and thefts that occurred in Herrick.
According to a report from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, between May 27th and June 8th deputies responded to eight separate reports of burglaries and thefts from residences, buildings, and vehicles. On June 8th, deputies conducted a search of a trailer on Adams Street in Herrick, stemming from information gathered during investigations. Many items that had been reported stolen were located inside the trailer and deputies arrested the occupant, Ethan Thompson.
Thompson is currently being charged with residential burglary, burglary, possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property, and theft. His bond has been set at $150,000. He is currently incarcerated at the Shelby County Detention Center.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is asking that anyone with an unreported break-in in the Herrick area call the Sheriff’s Office at 217-774-3941.
All persons listed are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
