Two fundraisers are being held this weekend for the Relay for Life of Effingham County.
The first fundraiser is a Jeep and Bike Run. Registration for the Jeep and Bike Run will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Effingham VFW. They will be serving pork burgers and hamburgers, as well as holding a raffle and treasure hunt. We recently spoke with Becky Kinman and Derrick Zerrusen about the upcoming Jeep and Bike Run. According to Kinman although pre-registration has ended, some t-shirts are still available on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration for the Jeep and Bike Run with a t-shirt is $20 and $10 without a t-shirt. Kinman also added that there are many stops planned for the Run.
As Kinman stated, the Jeep and Bike Run is ending at Orchard Inn Tavern in Effingham for RelayStock. According to Zerrusen, a raffle will be held a RelayStock as well. They will be raffling St. Louis Cardinals tickets, a record player from America’s Groove, and a Leinenkugel Summer Shandy patio umbrella from Koerner Distributors. Zerrusen added that a local band will be reuniting at 6:00pm at RelayStock in memory of a former member.
Both events are being held as fundraisers for the Relay for Life of Effingham County. The Relay will be held on July 7th at 5:00pm the Teutopolis Park.
