A new business group has formed for the businesses on Effingham’s south side.
We recently spoke with Casey Tibbs, owner of Image Squared Marketing, who helped to organize the new group, Effingham South Business Group. Tibbs stated that after the Southtown Business Association disbanded a few years ago and after moving his business to South Banker Street, he began looking for ways to engage with other businesses on Effingham’s south end. Thus, he helped to organize the Effingham South Business Group or “ESouth”. Tibbs hopes to unite the community, driving economic development, and work to improve the business landscape of Effingham’s southside with the Effingham South Business Group.
ESouth will hold a meeting/forum this Wednesday at 5:00pm at America’s Groove Record Store in the Village Square Mall. Tibbs said that America’s Groove is an excellent place to hold this meeting at as he considers it a case study on what businesses could achieve with the space available at the Village Square Mall. He also stated that during the meeting, they will be giving away free one-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 and Cogno Courses, both provided by the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce. Refreshments will be provided at the meeting.
If any businesses are interested in joining the Effingham South Business Group, contact Tibbs at 217-690-7474 or reach out to the group on their Facebook page at facebook.com/EffinghamSouthBusinessGroup. The Effingham South Business Group is not exclusive to just businesses on the Southside; all businesses are welcome to join.
