- 31 year old, Rhiannon M. Thompson, of Effingham was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on an Effingham County PSC mittimus for 24 hours.
- 37 year old, Lonni T. Wells, of Strausburg was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department and was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for conspiracy to obstruct justice.
- 33 year old, Michael C. Adams. of Charleston was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on an Effingham County warrant for theft.
- 26 year old, James R. Vanzandt, of Shumway was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on a Shelby County failure to appear warrant for fleeing/eluding police and a Moultrie County failure to appear warrant for driving while under the influence.
- 25 year old, Danielle C. Wagner, of Effingham was arrested by the Effingham Police Department for domestic battery.

April 26, 2017
- At 4:59pm east of the intersection of Fayette and 5th, a vehicle driven by 21 year old, Andrew D. Wilson, of Louisville rear-ended a vehicle driven by 22 year old, Melissa A. Koester, of Effingham. No injuries or citations were reported.
May 1, 2017
- At 1:24pm at the intersection of Jefferson and 2nd, a vehicle driven by 36 year old, Blake M. Grove, of Mode sideswiped a vehicle driven by 46 year old, Stacy J. Deters, of Teutopolis. No injuries or citation were reported.

- 25 year old, Danielle C. Wagner, of Effingham was cited for domestic battery.
Investigations
- At a construction site at 1200 McGrath, two 200ft electrical cords were stolen and a lock sustained damage during the incident that took place between the hours of 11:00pm on April 29th and 8:35am on May 1st. The two cords were valued at $500 each and the lock was valued at $60.
