A Vandalia woman had to be airlifted to the hospital after a crash late Monday morning. At 11:51 a.m. 75 year old Roxanne Brannon, of Vandalia was traveling northbound on Route 37, south of Kell Road in Marion County, when she lost control of her vehicle after leaving the roadway onto the rocky shoulder on the right side. Brannon steered back on the roadway, but began to enter the southbound lane and over-corrected causing the vehicle to skid off the right side of the roadway down into a ditch embankment. Bannon’s vehicle rolled four times before landing upright. She was airlifted to St. Louis Hospital for treatment.
