Illinois State Police District 12 has released enforcement figures for January. In the district’s ten counties 1,579 incidents were initiated in the field with 171 calls for service.
There were 631 citations and 758 written warnings. 348 of those were for speeding, 12 were DUIs, 57 were seat belt citations, 1 child restrain citation, 785 written warnings for speeding, and 27 criminal arrests. Troopers assisted 252 motorists, conducted 405 motor carrier inspections, and investigated 54 crashes, one of which was fatal.
252 citations and 252 written warnings were issued for the Fatal Four violations that are speeding, DUI, Failure to wear seat belt, and distracted driving.
