A man accused of robbing the Farnia branch of Midland States Bank is in Custody in Indiana. Fayette County State’s Attorney Josh Morrison said he was alerted last month that an individual who might have been involved in the Farina robbery was in custody. Morrison did not have the man’s name available at the time. “He may have confessed to God knows what by now,” Morrison said Tuesday.
On the morning of October 7th, a white male, described as being in his 40’s, entered Midland States Bank in Farina and demanded money. The suspect was armed at the time and later fled the scene on foot.
Details are light on how the individual was apprehended, but Morrison said he could be tried for crimes in both Illinois and Indiana. There is no timeline for trials as of yet.
