(Chicago, IL) — The state’s largest employee union is scheduling votes late this month and early next month on what would be its first-ever strike. It’s telling its members there will be strike votes beginning on January 30 because Governor Rauner rejected their latest offer to resume talks. Rauner has been trying to implement the terms of his latest offer after the state labor board declared an impasse in negotiations, but has been blocked by the courts.
