Illinois' Old Problems Will Confront New General Assembly

(Springfield, IL)  —  Illinois’ old problems now belong to a new set of lawmakers.  The state’s legislature will take the oath of office later today to start its 100th session.  But many of the faces, and problems, are still the same.  Illinois doesn’t have a budget and the fight between Democratic House Speaker Mike Madigan and Republican Governor Bruce Rauner is still looming large over everything under the statehouse dome.
