SIU Students Push For 'Sanctuary Campus'

(Carbondale, IL)  —  Leaders at Southern Illinois University say they’re willing to look at what becoming a “sanctuary campus” will mean.  But no one is ready to commit.  The school’s leadership earlier this month said it’ll take a look at the idea.  SIU’s Graduate and Professional Student Council and the Undergraduate Student Government demanded the action in a November letter.  The students say President-elect Trump’s comments about immigrants are driving their desire.
