The Mattoon Police made three arrests over the holiday weekend.
- 21 year old, Quinton D. Bradley, of Springfield was arrested by the Mattoon Police on Thursday, December 22nd. Bradley was charged with Violation of an Order of Protection after Bradley allegedly violated the court order and was in the presence of a female minor. A warrant for Bradley’s arrest had also been issued by Sangamon County for Contempt of Court.
- 60 year old, Ward A. Cave, of Mattoon was arrested on Saturday, December 24th. Ward was charged with Retail Theft after he allegedly stole from County Market. The charges were then upgraded to a felony due to previous felony convictions in Cave’s record.
- 27 year old, Corey J. Mitchell, of Mattoon was arrested on Monday, December 26th. Mitchell was charged with possession of Methamphetamine and was wanted on a Coles County Warrant for Failure to Appear for possession of Cannabis.

60 year old, Ward Cave, of Mattoon, charged with Retail Theft.
27 year old, Corey Mitchell, of Mattoon, charged with possession of Methamphetamine.
