Four people were injured in an accident involving a truck-tractor and a motor home on Interstate 57 in Marion County.
Shortly before 11:00pm on Sunday, 30 year old Jason Harmon, 29 year old Jessica Harmon, a four-year old minor, and a two-year old minor, all of White Heath, Illinois were traveling southbound on I-57 in the right lane. Harmon was driving the motor home and was towing a car behind the motor home. 60 year old, Edward Kalisz, of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada was also traveling southbound on I-57 in the right lane, driving the truck-tractor. Kalisz rear-ended Harmon, left the roadway to the right, rolling the truck-tractor onto its side. The truck-tractor struck the concrete bridge support. Harmon skidded sideways into the median, rolling the motor home onto its side, striking the center concrete bridge support. Jason Harmon, Jessica Harmon, and both minors were transported to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.
Charges are pending further investigation.
