(Springfield, IL) — One of the most iconic buildings at the Illinois State Fair is too dangerous for public use. “The State Journal Register” is reporting on a new inspection that found a host of serious problems with the building. The report says support columns are rusting to the point that they’re a risk for failures. State officials say it could cost about four-million dollars to fix the issues. But the state doesn’t have much money for, or the authority to spend it as of the new year.
