Two Individuals Face Charges For Allegedly Stealing Water

Two Brownstown individuals were arrested this week for allegedly stealing water. 28 year old Desiree N. Baumann and 28 year old Rex E. Sitzmore the Third were both arrested on the pending charge of Theft of Services, which is a Class A Misdemeanor. The information on the charges states that “knowingly obtained the use of services of Fayette Water Company, who service is available only for a fee,” in that the defendants are alleged to have cut the lock off of a water meter and allegedly turned the water services on for Lot #17 at Oak Grove Trailer Park and are alleged to have then not paid for the services. In the statement of probable cause from Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy Ed Durbin, it states that he observed a garden hose going thru a window at the residence for a water supply.  Both Baumann and Sitzmore remain in the Fayette County Jail.
