At the Ugly Christmas Sweater Shop in Dallas, Texas, the only way to land a gig is to show off your rockin’ dance moves.
The owner of the store, which just launched several new locations and found itself in need of new, seasonal employees, concluded that the best way for someone to be considered for employment would be to have them “audition” on video.
“We found a lot of great people that way,” Jeremy Turner, owner of the holiday pop-up shop business, told WFAA. “It showed us you’re willing to have fun.”
Turner says he received dozens of videos applying for the open positions, many of them high school students looking for part-time work. Additionally, he was happy to hear from Diane McCusker, a 69 year old retired teacher.
