(Chicago, IL) — Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner is trying to ratchet up the pressure on lawmakers to deliver a new state budget. The governor yesterday tweeted out a video asking a half dozen or so lawmakers to drop their suit over late paychecks and focus on a new state spending plan instead. Rauner says the fact that some lawmakers are suing while the state’s schools and social services implode is “stunning.”
